I just roll the bead and cook away :D

nowt fancy for me :D

I've got one of those little sifters, but I find it quite tricky trying to change the colours in it !  Rolling it sounds like a better idea  :)

Les

I like to blend a nice pretty mix of colours on a graphite marver, then just roll and transfer to the bead :)

I have just been rolling on a marver, I think I am using too much cause it went all clumpy and was hard to encase!!!  Maybe a thinner layer??

Les

maybe try cooking it a bit more to melt the enamels in ? They disperse quite nicely when really hot :)

Thanks Les, for some reason I had in my head not to get too hot or they would burn out like silver leaf!!!!

Les

nah ... although from experience you will discover that some colours will not like too much heat , but mostly they work great.

try googling 'boiled enamel' tutorials ;)

Well reading all that has put me right off using my enamels. 1 page on how to get pretty effects and 3 pages on exactly how they are going to kill you!

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

Obviously care should be taken but god I would never light my torch if I listened to every warning!!!!!

I don't have any proper ventilation *hears sharp intake of breath from forum* .... YET !!! :)

I ventilate as best as I can and use them sparingly. I'd never condone using enamels with little or no ventilation. I am taking a risk with my health working without an adequate ventilation system, but I know it will be sorted out in the spring sometime, so I know it's only a temp problem.

I'd just say take heed of the safety precautions and use your common sense

Try making stringers with it as well, there are some gorgeous watercolour effects to be had that way
