Inserting CZ's - advice please?

I have bought some pretty CZs from BeadySam but no idea how to get them from the marver into the bead - please could anyone advise?

Make a little hole in the bead and then drop the CZ in with tweezers - that's what Judith Johnston did at the Flame Off

Y'know those bent mandrels that we all keep `just in case'? Well, pop a dab of glue on the end and pick up a CZ (pointy end outwards, flatter side toward the glue), Set aside to dry.  Make your bead, some people poke a hole for the CZ, some don't, the choice is yours.  Take the mandrel with the CZ and poke it into the bead where you want it - the glue will simply burn off.  Either finish your bead by encasing the CZ with a blob of glass or leave it surface mounted - its best to avoid direct heat on the CZ for any prolonged period of time though.  Hope that helps?

Kaz - I got some freebee CZs from Sam, I just put them on a marver pointy side up and gently pressed a hot bead on to them, they sit a little proud but look so pretty. Mind you it hasn't been through the kiln yet, nor my rough cleaning technique.
