I use the small foil tartlet trays to pour my frit into.  I can bend and shape the trays whilst I'm using them and then when I have finished just 'fold' the tray a little and pour the frit back into the bag or jar (really useful for the frit in grip seal bags)  I got my trays from the £1 shop - there were 60 in the packet.

The trays are reuseable obviously, until you have creased them too much or have got really cross that no mtter how hard you try you can't make a decent bead and screw them up in frustration........or is that just me *blush* LOL

hope that helps.

i use the bottom half of my lentil or marble press to do sugar beads,
nice and deep so the  sugar goes all the way round,
bit hit and miss back into the pot though!

I'm a sprinkler not a roller! I use a tiny glass bowl and a melon baller.

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

I leave my sugar frit in the pot - make the bead close to the end of the mandrel and dip it straight into the pot  ;)

Well......... stand your pot in a foil tray and then you can pour any dropped bits of frit back into the jar - dead easy.

ROFL Caroline......I'm sure you don't need an excuse to eat cake - I know I dont LOL   Sorry to disappoint you but the trays are all new, shiney and cakeless.

Edited to correct spelling and I'm sure it isn't right even now!

Great Idea  :)  I use coasters but these sound good, I will buy some the next time I am in town.

What a fab idea - I especially love the idea of folding the tray to pour the frit back into the storage pot. Thanks for sharing  ;D
