cabochon mandrels

hi everyone

im looking for a supplier a cabochon mandrels.  we used to buy from someone in russia but they are no longer in business.  we need smaller sizes than most people make (6-8-9-10-11mm)

our business is now expanding and we will be making more beads per day and therefore need a larger stock of mandrels.

if anyone can help i would be very grateful

Hi Bez,

you might think about ordering them at a local welders shop or in a steel construction company custom made. Chose the diameter of the handle from the typical TIG filler rods. If there is rod material availlable in the diameter of the heads go for it. They just need to weld the handle to the head and cut a section off the head material rod. Later they need to grind the end flat and bevel the edges.

An other idea is looking for stainless steel chopsticks with flat ends.
