DragonBright is a new venture, stocking and making tools and accessories for craftspeople.  Our line-up is limited at present, and we're just getting the various infrastructure together, but we will be carrying extraction systems and some basic hand-tools to start with, with LED work lighting and bead displays in the pipeline.  We're a partnership of two engineers (Alison and Nigel), and we have loads of ideas, but we'd love to hear from actual craftspeople - if there's something that would solve a problem you have, or you've ever thought, "I wish I had a tool that did...", we may be able to help!

You can visit our website at - our webshop will be there as well shortly.

I'd better add a link here since, by a rather circuitous route, I've become a mandrel supplier (see my mandrel research post on this board for more info.)

I'm listing in my Etsy shop a range of sizes of mandrels made from 310 grade stainless steel - better suited to high temperature applications than other commonly available grades - - At present I have 1.6, 2.4 and 3.2 mm and I will be adding 5 mm in the next day or two. I am still trying to source 2 and 4 mm at reasonable prices and will add those if/when I can.

I am currently working on what I hope will be some slightly superior tools in brass and graphite - if I get as far as marketing them, I'll list them there as well and will post an update here.

Alan Davies

I now have the 5 mm size listed - - priced per 4 mandrels, various length options.
