I made some hearts today - vertical hole - and even though I did my best to keep the bottom end thick enough, I still managed to 'flake' off a chip of glass from two of them whilst removing the mandrel.. any tips for salvage?

Vicki

Use them yourself & put them on a headpin with a bead cap?

I went through a time of getting this all the time.  I was having to cull loads of beads!  First check the ends of your mandrels have no burrs then (and this is what fixed it for me) try another bead release.  I switched from Dip n Go sludge to Foster Fire and went from 6/10 longer beads with the ends damaged to none! ;)

Ok thanks! I was using the blue sludge, and it was fine, then I ordered some more and what came wasn't blue.. so I don't even know what I am using at the mo! I will get hold of some Foster Fire. :D
