My tumbler, shot, has, gone, rusty after,I,left it too dry, I now, remember that I should leave it in a soapy solution. I have read various tips on cleaning it,and, the tumbler ,  from TSP ( never tried) , barrelbrite ( think mine must, have lost it's strength) Eco washing crystal, Fairy liquid, and  Flat Coke!
Does anybody  have experience or comments  on these!

The problem with using regular shot (rather than stainless, which is more expensive) is that unless it's completely dry it will rust.

In honesty, it's probably best to just buy a new bag.

I have found some other shot in the depths of my workshop that is OK.
But I would like to ask you how it is best to store it between use , as I only use it occasionally?
Also would you recommend using flat Coke to clean the barrel of a second hand Lortone I have managed to find?
Not sure which medium it was used for, rocks or jewellery. It was described as a gem sparkler.
Thank you so much  George for all your invaluable advice!

I just pop my barrels (just the rubber components) on the top rack of my dishwasher. Seems to work fine!
