So, I have been blowing -ahem! - the odd glass flower (343 so far and counting...) and this morning I turned the kiln on without emptying it of yesterday's crop  ::)  It got up to 478C and so I just turned it off and have let it cool again slowly.
Given that the flowers aren't thick at any point and that they have been annealed already, am I ok to just take them out and put them away or should I really reanneal them once I've got through today's batch?

Are they transparent enough to have a look at them between bits of polarized film?  ??? They're probably ok, but it would put your mind at rest rather than re-annealing them again?

Doh!!  ::) ::)  ;D ;D

Yes, at least 2 of the colours are... I'll get the film out  :)

they're probly fine, but - re-anneal them. you know it makes sense.

Well, erring on the side of caution was why I was asking... but I have to say that they look fine through a polarising filter. I may well end up re-annealing just for the sheer heck of being safe, though.

They should be fine. I do this a lot but of course there is a school of thought that one can over anneal. Some say 5 times is max.

I'd heard that - but I'm certainly not planning on annealing them that often!!
