can i tumble jewellery

I need to clean up some silver and lampie jewellery, can i tumble it or is there a better way please?

Yes you can, but silver dip may be quicker and easier

 thankyou! I dont have silver dip at the mo,   what would i tumble with please we have steel shot mixed and 600 grit for beads?

Steel shot, with a bit of barrelling medium, a couple of drops of unscented, no additives washing up liquid or a pinch of pure soap flakes.
