Can't remember where I bought my last lot -  can anyone remind me who sells them or good websites to try? (For 5mm mandrel size) Ta  :)

I get all my silver tubing for solid cores from Debbi Hackeson of Ginkodesigns on Etsy - https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/62729409/ - excellent quality pre-annealed sterling silver, also, despite coming from the US, reasonable value (and getting cheaper as the silver price falls back a bit).

Rivets/grommets from Palmer Metals are best value if you buy 1000 or more - http://www.palmermetals.co.uk/shop/sterling-silver-bead-grommet-5-0mm.html/ - large ones and 925 stamped ones also available there.

I'm now selling the 5mm mandrels in 310 (high temperature grade) stainless steel on my Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/169697602/ - also 1.6, 2.4 and 3.2 mm if you look in the tools/supplies section. See discussion here for info on these - http://www.frit-happens.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=42781.0/

Hiya, thanks for that. I actually meant the little rivets to glue in each end - sorry

That's the Palmer Metals link above - I haven't found cheaper, but others may know better...

Oh yeah, missed that link, thanks ajda. They're a really good price. Gordon, thanks too for link - can't believe they're not sterling silver at that price though!

Tell me about it, I have some ( although I have moved onto coring with an Impress thingy ). My daughter aquired a "pandora" style bead when we were in Egypt in January. The half core dropped out and she asked me to mend it ( I don't believe how insulted I was ) she won't wear mine but was quite happy to wear this plastic cr@p and the "silver" rivet was worth more than the rotten bead

Just to say, that I think the Rivets in that Tuffnells link are the Sterling ones.

The plated ones are on this page, under the button mandrels http://www.tuffnellglass.com/contents/en-uk/d27.html#p1747

I may be wrong tho.... ::)

I sympathise, Gordon. No accounting for the tastes of youth! One day I'm sure she'll be proud to wear your stuff!  ;)
