Hi,

I was thinking of buying some double helix to try and was wondering if you could recommend what
would be best as I have never used it before?

I have seen some lovely dark blue shiny metallic looking beads which  must have been made from
double helix but haven't got a clue which one. Maybe you would know?

Also, do you need to reduce all double helix to get that lovely metallic finish?

Thanks for your help,

Sam.

Hi Sam

The easiest ones to start with are Triton or Aurae, which are both reducers.  Psyche also goes metallic, and can give some purple/blue colours, and is also a reducer.    Clio and Kalypso are also reducers and can give some lovely pink colours.   The new one, Ossa, is very pretty, and is also a reducer.

Other DH glass are strikers, which are harder to use when you are starting out.  I'd recommend one of the ones above in the first place.

I agree,
Triton is a good one  to start with, silver metallic or aurea which is more gold,
Martin sells single rods which is a good idea till you find one that you get on wiith  ;D

Helios gives a golden shine - great for dots.
