using silver leaf/foil

H and S questions.
When you use silver foil or leaf, it discolours tha glass around it, so this must be akin to fuming- for which a mask is advised.

My questions are:
Should we have respiratory protection for working with silver leaf/foil-or is the risk lower as we are not properly fuming at the base of the flame?

If a metal fume mask is needed for silver leaf/foil-is there a mask out there for particulates (i.e. enamels) and also metal vapours which isn't one of these 'wear only for a month' type B and Q masks?
