Raku, Raku...wha do i do????

Help!! having just read the previous post by redhotsal, i really should know...but...i cannot get it to do anything apart from a not so great greenie grey colour...where are the rainbow effects?? Im on a hot head, have tried tin foil etc.... wise owls please help!!  ???

it is a striking glass so get it really hot then cool it i usually roll it on a marver. then spot heat it and poke it around a bit cool heat cool heat and fingers crossed some colours pop out. have you encased it yet that can help. good luck.

Don't be scared to keep the bead out of the flame for longer than you feel comfortable. If it cracks then you know you were too long and you can always melt it together and have another go. Have fun :D

For some reason you get really nice effects as a twistie of raku (base) and intense black thin stripes, the colours really seem to come out with this. :)
