Sugar Beads

I'm sure this will be on here somewhere but I just can't find it. I want to make some sugar beads and wondered what size frit and where is the best place to get it?

Clear 0.5mm fine powder from Tuffnells.  Frits and enamels - Reichenbach frits.

Sounds yummy, guess they are not to eat... what do they look like? Is it clear frit that you roll the bead in and then etch? Can you make the frit yourself?
I'm off the google sugar beads...
