Storing/labelling stringers

ok newby question - why buy commercial stringers?
Please don't shout me down in flames, just wondering... for the sake of speed and convenience?

Came with my basic kit if I remember rightly.

Just found these really cute little vases in IKEA - they might make good colour coded stringer storage!

Those little jars are lovely, what a good idea re the colour coding, and they're so cheap as well!

Why would we do that?      

Commercial stringers are especially made for us nupties who can't pull evenly sized ones.  (i.e. me).

And I always but intense black in stringers.

And they are pretty!

Test tubes in a stand (unlabelled).  I work at a Secondary School as their permanent supply teacher.  The Science dept is brill.  I use a test tube holder/clamp as a short rod clamp - end up with just 1cm of rod that I chuck in a pot.  All free of course
