Just wondering where you get these tumblers and what they are called

You can get tumblers from Palmer Metals, Sutton Tools and Manchester Minerals. The Lortone 3A Single Barrel Tumbler is a great tumbler. You will need steel shot and barrelling soap which these suppliers also sell.

Not sure but I know that Julia (Pandanimal) tumbles her lampies to get her "Stoned" series look - you can check them out on Etsy - might give you an idea...

Sorry, has taken me a while to see this thread.
Yes I do use grits in my tumbler and leave them up to 12 hours to get a good stoned finish. I have a double barrel tumbler and keep one for grits and the other I intended to use for silver. But so far the silver tumbling only seems to dull the silver and the shot! Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
