A very basic question, but when double dipping your mandrels do you double dip at the same time (ie dip once then again) or wait until the first coat had dried after the first dip and then dip again?  :)

I think true double dipping means let the first coat dry, but if you are by any chance talking about button mandrels  ;D I just dip twice at the same time to get extra bead release on there  :D

How did you guess! :)   I think I might had overdood it, did the dipping twice at the same time and didn't think it had really added any more so waited until it dried and then dipped again and now hardly have a gap left!  Still will go and play as it is first time and then do it as you recommend next time.  Thanks Julie you are a star. :)

I did it, it worked, soo excited, can't wait for it to come out of the kiln (then of course got to see if I can get it off the mandrel, but with so much bead release on it hopefully won't be a problem!).  Should have bought more mandrels!  ::)
