My brother and sister-in-law are both mad on squirrels, and I made a set of these for them last Christmas - I never got chance to post them before, as they didn't actually come out of the kiln until Xmas Day morning!

But I got one back to photograph recently so I can show an example at my next craft fair and show it on the website/blog.

So here it is - kiln-carving....

And to show the reverse side

I had a go at etching and made these with my new bead press.

The first time I've got reduced glass to work! It rusn out it works much better in hot weather than cold (I work outside so the temperature does effect stuff)

I made these beads with CiM Poison Apple, Gaia, and Moretti 026 Teal.

These ones I made into a necklace for my mom, because she had a dress that was in these exact colours (and, I hadn't even seen/heard about the dress when I made the beads, it was just an awesome coincidence!)
