Two Torches - one set of tanks.

I have just purchased a Nortel Minor Torch from eBay (£60 - whoppee) for Shona.

I already have the Bethlehem Piranha running off Tanks, not an oxycon - the question is..... can I run two torches from one set of tanks?  Does anyone know?  And can they both be burning at the same time, or is is better to have two sets of tanks?

I run 2 Minors and 1 Major off 3 oxy cons and one propane tank with no problems at all but not sure about tanked oxygen.  Martin Tuffnell would be a good person to ask as I know he uses tanks (lots of 'em!)

Ahhh Bev, so you need an oxycon for each torch, but the propane can run all three?

Absolutely you can run multiple torches off one tank of fuel or O2.  Teaching studios do this all the time.  You just need a splitter.   Check this out:

we have loads of these from our local gas guy and split our single tank of propane and oxy to run 5 torches...

just make sure the connections are tight - and that the regulators can handle the flow requirements of the torches..

we are bringing a 3 way setup to the frantz/FH thing if you want to see how we did that?..

i want to try the minor, i run the minnow at the moment, 1 oxy and 1 tank would i need 2 oxys?

yes, if you want to run them at the same time... no if you just want to run one and then the other..

i dont know if its just me but i want to try the most "common" torch ya know what everyone else uses, and it seems theres a hell of alot of people who have the minor
