Thanks Q, i only used a ammount of pink for the core, so im not sure if the problem is the pink or the trans purple, but i havnt had any probs with any other colours, this is my first lot that cracked, im used to having at least 1 crack but this was all of them ( i made 5)  ???

The lauscha reds I know have encasing issues, but not sure about the pink, is it Lauscha you're encasing with? Maybe try kilning them with a bit of a glow remaining.

The violet doesn't do encased, and it's similarly translucent. They remind me of Opalinos so that's how I treat them, and they don't like encased.

hmmm, I need to know the colour numbers so that I can duplicate the situation. (I know, I am a picky beast...)

Happy to work with the two colours on Monday afternoon...
