Getting beads off mandrels

I think to start with make sure your bead release is not too watery, never use ones which have a hint of mandrel showing Afterwards I then soak them in water for a bit, use a bit of kitchen towel around the bead and pull with a pair of pliers, twisting a little.  I used to use my bench vice but it took too long when you have a lot to take off.  Only used for stubborn ones now.  Also soaking in Cillit Bang when difficult.  I get philosophical about the ones that crack when you take them off - They  'must be' faulty so better they show their weakness then than when you've sold it.
