How do you get good ends on beads with a bead press?

Hi, can anyone advise how i can get good ends on my beads done in the bead press, i seem to get one good end and the other is all squised in, can anyone help?

I find that by letting the glass cool and thicken slightly before pressing seems to help.... stops the glass running , if you get me ?

thanks I'll give it a try, my glass is probably too runny when I put it in.

Yes get them as good as you can get and then shape the ends gently with either your marver or a brass stump shaper to even them up if they need it.  Just heat the spot and touch lightly to straighten out and bits that aren't perfect.
