I just bought a marble press/ marver from maria, so only have the bottom half bit but although I've used one before it's not going so well. Can anyone offer some hints and tips please?

Thank you!  :-*

Trudi

make a barrel just a tinsiest bit shy of the edges - marver, add more glass to the ends so it looks like a dumbell - and melt in. The glass will naturally go to the middle. Keep gooing till you get there.

Haha, that's the opposite of how I do it, Trudi!

I just make a round bead and keep adding to the centre, then use the rim of the press to spread the glass to the edges.

How's that for confusing you Shahlaa?!!   ;D

I'll have to give your way a go Julie ............

I find by adding it at the edges it gives a dimpled hole. But always open to different ways!   ;)

Oh bugger. It's no good, I'm going to have to get me a marble press. There's just way too much talk about marbles not to get involved!!!!

Trudi

I use mine for round beads - not marbles!!
