I agree with the cooling thing, i find i have to press it or rub it over with my brass paddle to get the effects I want and i do this several times.  I manage to get yellows, blues, purples and greens out of it, the frit is 96 but quite coarse...

This is the advice that Arrow Springs gave me....

....The Iris Orange #108 works different than all of the other Reduction Frits.  You will not get a metallic sheen with this frit, but you will get a variety of blues, purples, greens and oranges.  It is done with a cooling technique.  Do not over heat this frit and you do not use a reduction flame.  The customers who I have talked to that get beautiful colors from this frit tell me that they use a cool graphite paddle and when they marver the bead using the paddle it brings out a variety of colors....

You'll get black beads with an ivory base too, just so you know!
