Would like some advice please.

I have an old computer table as a workplace for my torch etc...

I have had enough of this house and serioulsy destashing and changing things around. I had an idea  yup it hurt.

I want to move my dryer etc..


Anyways if I can move what I need to move I will have a work top install and everything to do with lampworking will be on there and I can my kitchen back yayyyyyyyy.  What is the best colour to have and would laminate be ok or is it best to get it covered with metal or some kind of tile?

I just have an old metal sheet under my torch ... I use an old wooden desk

Me too, the old wooden desk, that is.

I only have the square metal bit that comes with the Cricket though.

Any flaming droppings that miss that, just drop onto the mess of glass etc that lives on the desk all the time

thats what I am using too at the moment but I am getting low on space now and half my kitchen is all lampworking tools its getting a bit frustrating when I need to dish out dinner or bake cakes.

So something needs doing.

this is the desk at moment. I have no where to store stuff for it.

I hope that's not an indesit washing machine  under the kiln,     After the Watchdog programme  showed the machine blowing up and destroying the work surface the other night I've not done any washing!

No fear Nina its hotpoint I will only have hotpoint washers the item under the kiln is my Beko dryer which will be moved and the fridge is going there to make room for a proper worktop

I use a 60cm x 60cm aluminium sheet bought from a B&Q equivalent - works perfectly!
