Anyone every had any experience with an evenheat kiln? By the looks of it they are an american company that only supply in Europe through some place on the main land.

Are they easy to repair/maintain cheep to run...

.... anyone?

I've had 3 evenheat kiln, various sizes, they're very good. Reliable ,didn't ever have any problems and easy to change relays elements etc. I would recommend them.

Hi mate, Evenheat have a contract to supply glass kilns to Europe with a European importer who does not sell them here in the U.K. so, certainly Evenheat glass kilns are very difficult to get hold of in the U.K. and Evenheat are missing out on U.K. sales due to this situation.

Anything but glass kilns by them should be able to be got here.

If you need spares etc just let me know what you need.

Thank you Lee, I can see that we are going to be talking about it directly!

First up the elements are hanging out the top, tutor said high tolerance cement should do the trick. Do you have any of that?

Elements hanging out of the lid is a bad sign pal. Difficult to get back, well, difficult to hold back once they are back.
You can peg them using element wire but I certainly don't know of any method or any type of cement that could be used.

Is it possible you can send me a picture over, you could be walking into a load of expense here if you are not careful.

That could be why they haven't already fixed it. I'm not back there until next Tuesday, I shall take a picture then. Actually I shall try and take pictures of all of it.

Looking at the kiln at it yesterday the elements are in place, it is open and I have never seen it closed. From what has been said they come out during the firing.

I'm back from college.

The kiln has gone. No one seems to know where. When my tutor came in this morning they'd moved round the kiln room for the new kiln (which is apparently coming soon

) and done something with the old one. She said that she wanted it and they just shrugged.

So we're back to plan A which is just save and will mean that my super new shiny kiln is now many more years of with out stop-gap-kiln.
