seems to mix in better when it's hot!

I use hot tap water and it mixes in better than cold

I'm not mad then!!! (well, not totally!)

I would like to add a warning here (unless you want the special badge) :

Make sure the lid is screwed on before you do the vigorous shaking

Screwing the lid down not only stops you pebbledashing the walls, it helps to stop evaporation.  Btw I use distilled water you use for car batteries as its what I have always used when I did enamelling - it has no impurities. Probably makes no difference - just a habit.
