Hello, I feel a bit silly asking this but I haven't found the answer on here yet...  ???
When batch annealing, using the 'kebab' method, ie. putting a few beads on a trimmed mandrel, what about the bead release? Should you coat the mandrel where the beads will be on it, or is it sufficient just to leave the bead release inside from the original mandrel? Im just worried I batch anneal and open my wee kiln to find lovely beads jammed on to the mandrel!
Sorry if im being dumb, but any help would be greatly appreciated!  ;D
Thanks
Helen

Your beads are not getting hot enough to melt, so you don't need to worry, they won't stick. Not silly, I wondered the same hing fist time I annealed!

As Mary says, they won't stick. Leave on the original bead release (in the beads) and put them on an uncoated kebab!

Thanks ladies, that makes sense!
I'm ever so excited to get going, we're moving house so I've reserved a corner for lampwork and I'm dying to get going properly, after much glass fusing and metal clay work colin the kiln will have another purpose!   ;D
AND...I'm ordering my bulk kit from Tuffnells this week! (runs around in excited little circles...)

The information on this forum has been amazing though, everything is making sense to me!
