I thought trees too and then a type of kiln furniture I hadn't heard of before. That's because when I was slumping some green glass to make leaves for a friend's panel, I made some simple pre-fired props rather like logs to hold up the stems of the moulds I made. The leaves were intended to project out of the panel making it 3D.
