I'm in the process of sorting out/dreaming about a new workshop but am unsure what to use on the outside.  it's just bog standard un- treated shed which i'm going to insulate etc but i would like to paint it a colour....has anyone used sadolins or similar on theirs?

Me too , we used up some blue fence paint we had left over from painting the outside of  DD's playhouse.  Looks quite beach hut (ish) . ;)

I used water resistant fence paint on my shed to match the rest of the wood in the yard

I rang the helpline again today and was told the total opposite to my previous advice ???   I'm now told that as long as i leave the shed for a few weeks to weather, it doesn't matter if i have a solvent based pre treated shed.  I can stil use any finish i like, i had been told the shed must be either untreated or a water based preservative and it only comes with solvent or nothing!  I think I'm going to go for Sadolins superdec, I was dreading  an untreated shed which i would first have to treat with waterbased preservative , leave and then 2 coats of whatever. I've done far too much decorating over the years to look forward to all that brushwork!   :) :) :)
