Deesigned Beads

finally I have finished my promised ring tutorial.  Please view it on my blog, and copy it to your hard drive/print it, should you want to!  If you feel that I need to clarify something, add a bit, etc.  just let me know.  Also, if you want additional info, I will try my best to assist you.

That's really very helpful Diana - thanks so much!

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

Billie

Love this

"When wearing a glass ring, I have 2 rules. Do not hit an inert object (husband, dog, wall, table) while wearing the ring. I suggest removing it, hit said object, and return ring after frustration was vented. Secondly, remove a glass ring from you finger when you work in soapy water. The beauty WILL turn into a flying missile if not removed! Place back on finger once hands are dry."  :D :D :D

I have ring mandrels I have been working the courage up to play with and I think you've convinced me to give it a go  ;D

Carol

I've made a few rings, mostly quite wonky  ::) - thanks for the tutorial Diana, maybe I'll soon make some rings that I'll be proud to show off!  :)

thank you Kaz, Billie and Strawackie.  Please use the tut, and let me know how it went!

I always tell customers these 2 rules Billie.  Cause that is the only times I ever broke a ring.  I never take my glass rings off (not even when I bath these days, but they they fit snugly) but the hitting thing is really important.  I did hit a dog once (she ate my cat's food everyday and just gently helped her out of my room) and my favourite ring broke,  No damage to me or the dog, but just pieces of glass on the floor.  I carry tables, etc, work as a RN in a seriously busy ER in the city, all the time wearing glass rings.  I had 2 rings fell off the other day while haning up clothes outside (onto brick paving), and found both intact.  I have been wearing them for a week since, and they seem to be strong.  These are stacker rings, that has not been flattened.  So I guess their shape makes them a bit stronger.

See ya
