Major Long-Shot... but does anyone know how to skip a programme on a Prometheus?

Times like these, I kind of wonder whether I should have bought a Paragon :-\

Have to say that I am perfectly happy with the Prometheus Pro7 and it hasn't put a toe wrong so far, and been used nearly every day.

BUT - the instructions that came with it were very sketchy... and there is nothing in them to tell you how to skip a programme.

Sat down at the torch an hour ago and the rotten gas went - GAH!  Typical on a Sunday as well!!  >:(  Anyway - I had set it to garage for 4 hours, which is my usual torching time, give or take half an hour or so - there are about 6 beads in there so I don't want to switch it off completely, but there is no point in it humming away at 500 degrees on a garage soak for another three hours.  Trouble is, I have absolutely no idea how to skip to the next step.

As I said, major long shot as I think only Poletra has a Prometheus and a different model at that - have messaged her, but if anyone has any ideas, I would be really glad to hear them!  I don't suppose it matters that much today, but I could do with knowing as this is no doubt going to happen again in the future.
Thanks. ;D

Fruddy, the online manual has an email address - which I guess is where the kilns originate from (Istanbul?):
http://www.prometheuskilns.com/docs/prometheus_pro1.pdf. I should just send them an email and ask them - I couldn't find the relevant info on the "manual" either.

The other possibility is to have a look at the controller - I guess it is integrated into the kiln but there may be a part number on it - the may well buy it "off the shelf" and build it onto the kiln. Might be worth googling the part number if there is one - you'd be surprised how many times you can find a manual for the controller this way.

Oh it's deffinately a buy from the shelf one Sal, it's just which one. Well worth trying to find out the control type if you are struggling.

I'm not sure where you got it from but shouldn't that be the place to helps out?????

Thanks for your help guys....

I actually bought it from Martin Tuffnell, but I didn't want to pester him again.  Anyway - I emailed the manufacturer and they were absolutely brilliant - I got a reply almost immediately with step by step instructions on how to do it.  Basically you just press the menu button and then decrease the time that you want the soak for, to 0000 if you want to skip and then press set.  Job done, piece of cake!! ;D

When I find a minute, I will write out a list of programmes for the Prometheus, and maybe they can go on the Wiki, should anyone else buy one.

have to say though, that the customer service from the manufacturer is pretty damn good!!  I am very pleased with the kiln in all areas so far!

Sounds like great customer care  ;D

it was superb Billie, to be honest, not what I was expecting at all - as the kilns are made in Turkey!  With the instruction manual being a bit sketchy at best as well, I was a bit worried that I was going to be left stumped, or even worse, if it broke down then I was going to end up wishing that I had gone down the Kilncare or Paragon route!

The chap that emailed me was fab, his English was perfect and he couldn't have been more helpful if he had tried!

I'm well happy! ;D

Glad you got it worked out, good to hear about the customer services as well.
