Right, dedicated thread for making a marble run.
The idea will be to make a section each, with a horizontal entrance and exit, then attach all together and whizz mibs down it  ;D ;D
Anyone else care to get involved??  ;D ;D I can find basic instructions for making the sections, so all you'll need is some clear glass and a bit of luck.

ooookay.... I guess I'm in! Are we going with it to fit 1 inch marbles? Any info or tips you know will be much appreciated, it'll at least give me some practise bending clear boro! (goes off to stock up on burn cream and plasters  :D :D :D)

Does it have to be made with boro?  Would it be possible to use Effetre?  If it is then I'd be interested - though it may depend on how the assembly is going to be managed - i.e. where it is and the logistics of getting the bits there.  I want to try boro but at the moment I have a bobcat, but only one oxycon so am having to wait until more oxygen can be arranged.
Glass - lampworked, blown, kilncast or fused and slumped, it's all good!

and me.... but only cos you scare me Emma and I'm afraid you'd shout at me if I didn't!!!  :o

I don't have the balls to say yes yet :D

I'm going to shout at Tan instead, then  ;D ;D

Yes, it is boro - boro clear should melt ok with a bobcat on one oxy (I've made loads of beads on a Bobcat and one oxy)  but you would need to be comfortable working off-mandrel.
I'd say each section could be anything from a very simple set of parallel lines held apart by rods of a set length to a complex whirlpool thingy with camber (Stacy's doing that one cos I'm going to shout at her  ;D ;D)

Yeah.... your funny!!!!  :P

sounds like I need to get myself some boro then.  I've just started doing some off mandrel stuff with soft glass and that's the way i want to go anyway - the whole point of boro for me is to be able to make bigger scupltural stuff so this would be a good excuse to start practising!

In that case, welcome to the marble run! ;D
