I have made a focal bead in Cim Chia, but instead of it being a nice clean pink it has come out almost grey and dirty looking.
Am I maybe holding it to close to the tourch?
Can anyone help please.

I've never used Cim Cim but it sounds like over reduction or just too much propane causing carbon. Hope this helps

Hiya Rita, yep, too much propane or holding it too low in the flame, try etching her and see what happens, the results might be nice

Dragonfire Glass

it might be one of those colours that would like a bath in Lime & Grime Cilit Bang

Does that take off the reduction Collette? Without the etching effect I mean. Cool tip if it does :)

Dragonfire Glass

Yep - works on the blues (light sky, dark sky, etc), purples (eff purple, berry creamy, etc) & coral plus there must be others  :)
