Just wondering if it was possible to do fusing in a maxi .
I would love a pink one but would rather have one that did both (thats if there is one)

Dunno about the chamber size on the Maxi(ne) but I've been fusing in the Beadcube just fine!

My understanding is that the Maxi is not set up for fusing but is purely for annealing. The beadcube can be used for fusing though.
If I'm wrong no doubt someone will be along to set the record straight!
Best bet would be just to PM Lee - he is very responsive!

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

I'm fairly sure the Maxi/Maxine doesn't go hot enough for fusing - you need 800 - 850 degrees C for that.

I sure am ;D

Nah, the MAXI only runs to a max of 650c and really, it was only ever designed to anneal.

I am hearing more and more reports of succesful fusing in the Bead Cube however. That has a top temp of 920c.

I have an album of 'experiments' I'm trying in my cubey on my facebook page called 'What's in Wee Blue?' so if anyone wants to know about any of the results, please feel free to ask! So far, so good, no explosions, no cracks and some great results!  Best of all, low electric costs!
