Rounds

I have one of those nice little brass cubes with different sized rounds in it.  My question is can I use it to make really nice round beads? and if so how?  I have'nt used it at all (had it for a year now) except to produce similar sized free form round beads.  I keep thinking I should invest in a marble press but I just blew all my paypal balance on some sailing gear!

It's a bit trickier - but make a barreljust a tinsiest bit shy of the edges - marver, add more glass to the ends so it looks like a dumbell - and melt in. The glass will naturally go to the middle. Keep gooing till you get there.



I bought the marver from Maria Louisa instead of the press. And it's great as it comes with a handle that screws off. So you can either hold it or rest it on a torch marver!

Ta Trudi...gonna try that today.  Always wondered what you would do with such a lovely esthetically pleasing little tool....except look at it.

Make marbles with it! (ok, I'm biased!)

Actually I used to use it as a measure when making barrel beads etc. I'd choose two dots , or one of the large hollows and make a bead to match the distance between them.
