Hi Guys where is the best place to buy in the Uk to by a foodsafe overglaze for bottle slumping.

I must admit I am stumped here, I didn't know you needed any sort of overglaze on a slumped bottle.  ???

Hi moira it isnt so much that you need one i want to get a good glaze on some of my slumps especially if im going to use them for food.

bullseye glass recommend a layer of clear over the coloured layer, but I don't know what you'd do when your base glass is of unknown coe

Yes, quite so. You might get away with a bit of frit to decorate the surface, up to 5%, but any more and it's likely to crack as it cools.
Most bottles that people slump were made for wine or other drinks, so should be fine to use for food.
