Title: Kiln Cast Boxes
Post by: Flyingcheesetoastie on June 27, 2016, 01:47:48 AM
I have a perhaps cheeky and random request.... I really want to get a handle on kiln cast boxes, using Nathan Sandberg's technique with vermiculite board but I can't see him doing this class in the Uk anytime soon.  So I was wondering if we had anyone here who had done his class and could be tempted to trade technique tips with me?  I'm bimbling about all over the UK this year with shows, so could even come do a mini workshop on screen-printing, micro casting, lost wax or any of the other myriad of techniques I have under my belt.

If it's something that interests you then lemme know and we can discuss a barter!

(Of course, sods law this is when somewhere announces dates for his workshop ;))

Hi Rachel

Long time, no see.  Bullseye has a video and a tip sheet on this.

Hi Janet  ;D

As far as I can see there are no tip sheets or even e-books on this technique, so looks like I'll just have to stalk Nathan to find out when he's next teaching this in the UK.  There is a class in August in New York but there's no way I can afford to travel there now!
