Title: Glass fibre rope
Post by: Flowers on November 04, 2015, 05:05:49 PM
Hi all
I wondered about glass fibre rope and where the best place to buy it from would be please? I have seen it on ebay and it seems far more reasonable than some of the glass suppliers but on ebay when I search it comes up as "glass fibre stove rope" is this the same thing? Can this be used?
Thank you

I think you'll find that the stove rope is to make an airtight a seal around the door of wood burning stoves. Dont know about any other sort, sorry.

Stove rope might work the same, I don't know. You could always buy some and try it. But it isn't very expensive from fusing suppliers, so I don't think you'll save much.
