I'll kick off this one - not the best bead but I love this colour, it goes all swirly all by itself!
Bloody Mary, with a band of vetro clear in the middle & smooshed around a little, vetro clear dots around the top. :)
I have started to play with my odd lots too.
This one is petrified wood with effetre ivory and ivory stringer. The Ivory looks like it has bleed into the odd lot.

i bloomin well like these!!! bloomin well ALOT
Oh Anna that sunset bead is lovely :)
Some of them are a bit shocky aren't they - I haven't managed to make anything but frit (scattered all over the floor) out of rhubarb :-[
One more from me. This isn't for the competition Jo as the base is ask silver cinnamon but the swirls are red jasper and there is a clear reaction between the two. The bumps are psyche. The interesting thing with red jasper is that it looks different when you use it thinly on top of other colours. The colour is much more flat in this bead, for instance, than in the silvered lentils I posted earlier. So if I want the colour variations I use it for the base and add anything else afterwards.

I also just remembered that I had compatibility problems between wasabi and ask silver rattan. Its a real shame because it makes a great base for the land on a landscape or tree bead. But it happened twice (and they are definitely those little hairline cracks) so I abandoned the combination.

Hi!
I also have something to add:
This set was made with marbled avocado and Terra - except the bead with the scrollwork, this was Moretti dk. ivory with nyx.
These probably need to be in the newbie show and tell but they are Vetrofond so from left to right:
1. Lemongrass with efetre ivory and Beadysam yellow iris frit
2. Lemongrass with effetre yellow (not sure which one as not labelled - in starter pack)
3. Just lemon grass and Sam's frit again.
Going to try some more of my sample pack this weekend ;D ;D
Gorgoeus!
Another from me:
This is the Jasper, on its own in the lentils, then in the focal it is with Terra, effetre dark ivory and vetrofond ivory. At one end the jasper has turned darker from being lightly duster with terra powder.
and another...
This is Honey Crunch base with only a little Terra powder and ask104 desert chameleon finished off with a terra bubble dot.
and the last for tonight :D
(http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2342/2197302665_0f6dd88d74_o.jpg)
Dark lichen - 2 of them have a stripe of effetre dark ivory, and a touch of SIS - no reaction seemed to happen...
Can I play too please?! :)
Sprees made with (starting from the upper tier) Smoke Circles, Painted Desert, Light Jasper, Cosmic Storm (Think I got the names right?!)
Cheers,
Clare xx
This is smoke rings pure and simple!
Kaz
This is frit on a banana cream base (I love that colour it has a real pinky tinge). I thought these colours looked a bit Clarice Cliffe?
Kaz

Hi!
I made a heart today with Petrified Wood and one stringer of Ornela ivory:
Same here - these started life as watermelon....
My first attempt for an unflippable lentil, made with Bloody Mary 995
And my second one, with petrified wood 999
I seem to have become obsessed with the Vetro Belgian Lace, so I am showing some things I made using just his colour and silver, nothing else was used.
Detail of one of them
(http://www.lesleymcfarland.com/%2D%20New%20Folder%20%283%29/Untitled%2D54.jpg)
Belgian lace reacts nicely with silver and it has a sort of "old ivory" look to it which I really love, it doesen't react as much as the effetre ivory but sometimes you don't want that.
Red Jasper plus a stripe of DH Odd Lot H122
Sadly cracked so must have another go
Pink Swirl plus a stripe of DH odd lot H122
And finally - my favourite. Watermelon plus a stripe of H122
I love watermelon :)

Does anyone have CIM Hades (511820) & Bloody Mary Glass??????
I read on Mike Frantz website that there is "lots of crawl" when these glasses are used together and would love to see what that might look like!!
These are bloody mary (I love that glass) with silvered hades stringer
(http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2035/2233623398_e154c5256d_b.jpg)(http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2307/2233623390_6c8f1b28a7_b.jpg)
Vetrofond Purplicious with SIS (using Effetre ivory and silver leaf).
Heavily melted in and swirled.
Since I've only been torching since 9 Jan, I thought I wouldn't be good enough to enter this.. but then I reread the rules.. and since a lovely lady sent me some vetro clear and a rod of vetro odd topaz, I said to myself... why not.. if you don't enter you can't win.. :D So here goes... Vetrofond Odd Topaz over effetre white and encased in vetrofond clear,,,,
Fiona
Gorgeous beads everybody. As promised, Vetro odd lot cosmic storm with black nebula frit :)

Heres a few for you,
the first is rhubarb with light jasper flowers, second is jungle twilight etched and the third could go here or in the EDP colour thread as it is orange dreamsicle with edp shard swirled in... not sure i could live with that colour combo!!

those are lovely reactions with black nebula
These are both painted desert from the same rod in the same session - the upright is super heated and it looks like the red has gathered at the edges. I wasn't expecting that!

Well Sue it looks like egg sucking works :) Such a shame about the crack :'(
I have some spotty beads with vetrofond odd cotton & Nero Intense Black. There is a tiny bit of bleeding in the flat black spots but not much

Okay, finally got round to taking more pictures (but not to cleaning the beads beforehand - sorry!)
Sooooo:
Vetro Odd Lot light red jasper with CiM Thai Orchid - the more you heat it, the more it gets eaten (compare left & right)
Vetrofond Special red purple (VS291438) with copper green and effetre dark ivory, not heated too much
(http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2094/2320736538_66be6a43c9.jpg)
A bit more obscure:
Vetrofond Oddlot 917 Antique Amber Transparent with effetre dark ivory, effetre dark trans topaz, and 're-constituted terra' (not terranova, but the batch where they tried to remake the old terra) and silver wire
(http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2071/2320735344_ab3840ec9b.jpg)
And Vetrofond Oddlot 917 Antique Amber Transparent with 'new terra' and silver wire on its own - the amber didn't like the wire and made big puddles around it that looked like quicksilver or lead (sorry about the crap photo) :(
