Title: stainless steel shot
Post by: Sarah9959 on April 23, 2014, 12:28:11 PM
Hi

Question for George really but put here in case it interests anyone else.

I looked at stainless steel shot at Rio Grande and the price was good but postage came in at £30 for 3lb of shot.

Just wondered if you feel the better quality  is worth paying that amount of postage for?

I am aiming to produce beautifully shiny smooth silver findings and components for my own use [of course whether I will or not is another matter altogether]!!

Thanks again for your patience with my endless questions.

Sarah

You need to contact them - they can ship USPS rather than the expensive rate - a friend just bought some and said it cost him about £22 in total (delivered).

Hope that helps!

I don't know anything about the differing qualities of shot, but I am using this and am happy with it

there's a good range of sizes in it, including tiny pointy bits to get into the nooks and crannies

Thanks for replies. Contacted Rio Grande who were very helpful and sorted out shot and postage so it is winging it's way to me right now :)
