The theme of the month challenge is jointly sponsored by Tuffnells Glass (thank you Martin et al!) and Frit Happens!
I have joined the two months worth of challenges together as I have a feeling all of you will be far busier then me over the next 7 and a bit weeks and I know at the mo I'm manic!
For this challenge the lucky winner, chosen by a random number selector, will receive a £20 gift voucher to spend on-line with Tuffnells. The draw will take place at the start of **January** so make sure you get your entries in before midnight on the last day of December or before this year becomes next year! to be in with a chance to win the goodies!
Please note that the entries should be new work.
So, the theme for the month for November & December 2013 is Famous People.
Im struggling with ideas for this one .
Me too....................
Nick
It doesn't need to be the actual person, it could be an aspect of them... like... you could do a bead that had lots of little black spikes on and say it was reminiscent of Jesse Jay after she shaved her head. You could do a goddess bead and think of a famous lady like Nigela.
I am not looking for an accurate sculptural depiction of Morgan Freeman ;)
Think of it like the book challenge, make something out of a book, make something that makes you think of famous people. Hell you could do a lightning strike and link that to Daniel and Jo Rowling.
Time to think out side of the box
Hubby just gave me a good idea :) and thanks Krysia my brain had just gone blank on this one.
I've got a couple of ideas but I'm busy preparing for a fair this weekend. Hopefully I'll get some torch time next week.
wonderful, that's what I like to hear ;D
Michael Jackson

*black or white*
(I did do a fancier barrel bead too, but I did small dots and they went purple instead! ... yes I do know about intense black - I just forgot!)
Nice start to the challenge :)
Wonderful, thank you

The hedgehog is my favorite .
You're in, one, coz they're great and second coz i've been a bit slack getting this drawn!
Whats the next challenge ?:)
Are we still having these challenges? I know the closure of Off Mandrel means we lost a sponsor/prize but, I for one, look forward to the challenge rather than the prize. I know we're all busy and quite a few of us are underwater so I'm not nagging and demanding action from anyone, just wondering....
Anna
PS I'm happy to help anyone out running the challenges if needed...
