Title: distance ventilation to torch

Hi can i pick you dear lady,s brains o have a 600mm wide work top and a Tuffnels vent kit.
My question is how far is the min distance that the torch can be to the cone.

I'm not sure on dimensions, Cat, but I have worked with mine like this for 3 years now:

You can see my Cricket is quite close to the trumpet but it never burns it

Try the smoke test.. Light a match or joss stick, and hold it at the head of your torch with the ventilation running.  If the smoke gets sucked up by the ventilation then it's close enough... if it doesn't, then move the ventilation closer until it does.
