Title: soldering torch recommendations?
Post by: marijane on April 12, 2013, 12:28:03 PM
Is anyone able to recommend a torch to be used with an oxycon?

Smiths Little Torch (or similar - Hoke, Swiss etc). You need to keep the oxygen flow VERY low - under 2lpm and dial it in very carefully or it will blow the flame out. You can't use the smallest (ruby) tips with an oxypropane setup, but the others, including casting tips, work perfectly.
