Does anyone have one of these and if you do what do you think of it?
Please and thankyou ;D
At a quick glance I read Power Vibe Tool :o and wondered, as a bloke, whether it was the sort of post I should be reading on a predominantly female forum! ;)
I thought it said that as well!!!! Even after you posted, I had to reread it!!
Sooooo, what really is it !?!?

Hi Tan
I have one and have found very useful.
Janet
I'm absolutely certain you could make one yourself for very little. It's just a hummingbird pick/flosser (less than a tenner) and some squished tubes.
Even more confused......what does hummingbird flosser thingy actually do?

LOL. A hummingbird flosser is a battery operated dental pick/flosser that vibrates (quite gently) when you hold its button. (I think I may be making things worse). It's designed to help remove any between-tooth debris without too much poking around (I'm definitely making it worse now).
The powder vibe tool is just one of these, with a series of brass tubes crimped at one end to sprinkle enamels for you.

Hi George, where can you get them at that price? it's mainly refills that I have seen, even on eBay they have 8,9 bids and are in the high £20s with 2 days to go.
I got my last couple from my dentist - who had a little stash of them after they were discontinued. Yet another Braun product that they stopped manufacturing for no apparent reason... I think they were £5.99.
Thank you George for the description......made me laugh though, should have read " for ladies only " .............!

They are now made by Oral B and are about £30/£35 . . . . .
They were always an Oral B brand Carole, but manufactured by Braun. I think the ones that are so expensive are from old stock with sellers taking advantage of the non-availability.
Wow, you were lucky George.
Thankyou for the feedback Janet do you use it for fusing or beads?
George, thankyou for the top tip, I did wonder if it was something that would be easy to knock together, it seems a simple piece of kit.
I wonder whether a sonic toothbrush could be adapted in that case?
Tan, I was looking at these a few weeks ago, but I decided I don't do enough work with powders or enamels to justify the expense, especially when reviews seemed a bit mixed. The videos make it look easy, but I figured even if application was as easy as it looks, I usually manage to trip up or sneeze on my way to the kiln....
I've bought one of the coil actuated sifters instead.
Well, I have to admit I am as accident prone ;D I was very impressed by the vid but boy oh boy is it a lot of money for a tiny bit of kit that I may use a great deal or may not use at all in the long run.
Dawn will you let me know how you get on with the sifter please? I was looking at those as well and think one of them may be my next purchase if they can give a precision line
I was going to buy one of the coil-activated sifters to help with powder & frit painting but would like to know how well they work first, so please let us know how you get on Dawn.
After seeing the powder vibe, I would love one of those, they look so easy to use, but cannot afford one at the moment and, as others have found, the hummingbird flossers are rather more expensive than the ones that George got as well.
The enamels in my glassy doodles post were done with a powder vibe. I bought it a few years ago from Creative Glass in Rochester.
