The theme of the month challenge is jointly sponsored by Tuffnells Glass (thank you Martin et al!) and Frit Happens!
Each month the lucky winner, chosen by a random number selector, will receive a £20 gift voucher to spend on-line with Tuffnells. The draw will take place at the start of January **February** so make sure you get your entries in before midnight on the last day of December January to be in with a chance to win the goodies!
Please note that the entries should be new work.
So, the theme for the month for December/January 2012 is 60s.
Come on everyone, where are your entries?
This set was inspired by the psychedelic colours and patterns of the 60's

Lovely Linda... I drew a bit of a blank with both this month's themes - couldn't think of anything for 60's and don't have Effetre Olive :(
They're fab Linda. :)
Oh fab beads ...... sorry I missed this thead completely ... it never came up on my unread thread till today!!
I missed these too :o
Well done to Linda for getting in there on both counts

That's because I only posted them yesterday but the challenge has been up since 10th December.
So.... Due to the 'over whelming' responses ;) to this months challenges I will carry these forward to be January's challenges too. It seems that Christmas was enough of a challenge for everyone apart from Linda - Well Done those are really cool!
I made some, but they're not really good enough to show. I'm going to try to do something better - trouble is, I only had one rod of Olive Green, and now it's less than half!

Me too Trudi. Not seen these threads before and I check in every couple of days even if I don't post. Have we got Xmas gremlins?

Lovely beads.
I love the beads and the dish :) I think I'll be sitting this one out, because I'm not feeling inspired at all :(
For inspiration think flower power, black and white stripes and dots, zingy colours - and try looking on google: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=sixties+fabric&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=q62&tbo=u&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=fflb&tbm=isch&source=univ&sa=X&ei=i-LiUKSZB_KR0QXWjIGIBg&ved=0CD8QsAQ&biw=1920&bih=950 :)

Fair enough.
There were over 200 views of this topic in the first 24 hours.
I'm *not* actually entering these into the challenge as they are not new, but I thought I'd pop them in for a bit of sixties theme inspiration ;D

Hope that's okay to do Krysia x
that's absolutely fine, but why don't you want to enter them?
Thanks for the inspiration Margram. Back to work this week but it's given me inspiration for the weekend so fingers crossed I will have something to show for it. Just need it to be warmer and dryer in the garage by then. Love the beads, dish and coasters.
Thats a really good link for inspiration thanks Margram ! haven't had a chance to get on the torch but hoping to today, so am going to attempt some 60s type beads.
Ok ... I've made this style before but not for a while ... this thread inspired me to make them again ...

I love those, Sarah.
Thank you. I feel the need to make more :0
Ok, so thought I'd have a go but not sure I have captured the 60's but my excuse is according to my Dad I was just a twinkle in his eye in the 60's. I thought of rainbow colours and flowers, so have attempted to do rainbow shards but thick to add texture and some really simple flower decoration. I tried my new lentil press from Christmas. So here they are:-

Great entries, everyone, such a range of colours and interpretations of the theme!
I made these yesterday (perhaps with more enthusiasm than skill, but never mind...) Set myself the task of playing with some colours I don't normally go for and had a lot of fun doing this. I may get back to the design at a later date and improve it, I rather like the idea.
