Hello, all - THAT LADY IS AMAZING :o :o and so are those Eggs! So Cute!
I am back with another entry, this time made especially for the challenge. It's Flame Off themed for two reasons:
(i) it has a flame colour scheme
(ii) I wanted to practice my stringerwork for my Flame Off class with Claudia Trimbur Pagel!

Cor, turn down the heat ladies! What a fantastic lot of fiery beads.
Lovely fires! The goddess bead is gorgeous :D
I must be psychic, I was actually trying to make a flame themed bead right before I saw this thread for the first time the other day ;D That one didn't turn out like I wanted it, so I've got a couple of more attempts cooking right now. We'll see if I've got anything worth showing once the kiln fairies have done their thing...
I got some dental picks. Now I can do raked dots! It is a HUGE difference from trying to do them with a normal rake.

I noticed Effetre Electric Yellow got wispy opaque streaks when you treat it right, so I tried to make it do something flamey. Sorry about the wonky shapes, it looked like it got mucky so I didn't bother finishing the shapes, but then when it got out of the kiln it was fine. I'm still trying to figure out what exactly you have to do to make it turn wispy like that, but I'm not sure I'll have time to do anything better than this before the end of the month so I'm posting these now even though they are wonky :)

No obvious flame off connection? It's the evil eye I gave my other half all weekend as she had the bad idea of having her birthday on the same weekend as flame off. Sob.
In the last minute - Prométheus.
Really lovely Sin.
I did think flame off would be a lovely birthday treat. Herself thought otherwise. So spent a fortune online instead. Oops!
after looking at all the fab clever and really skillfully made beads here i was not going to put anything up for this but finally I got something not too awful, just dont look too closely at the sizes - supposed to be pairs either side of a central focal >:(
(http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n514/tomcat_beader/flameoff2.jpg)
ho hum more practice - less haste ! (oh and they need cleaning as well!)
Those sizes look fine to me!
They look fine to me too.
Sin, that promethios bead is amazing, love to see a different view. Such a lot of talent and brilliant ideas.
Thanks for the comment Lakelady. Hope your got a giggle

Wow there are some lovely beads here. And I love the toaster, very funny!
I have a guilty secret ......... I couldn't make small encased florals.......until Kathy so kindly showed me her tricks at Flame Off. so I've been busy practising flame coloured florals since then....off to take a photo and I'll be back.
Ok here they are...my Flame Off Florals, in flame colours and very appropriate for me as I learnt hw to do them at Flame Off.

What's happened to this challenge? Nobody has announced a winner or set a new challenge! I've been following the challenges, and was thinking of posting an entry in the next one, if I could.
Good question, I always look forward to the challenges. Pushes me out of my comfort zone. There will be another one along one day I'm sure.
You're right! There will - put it down to post Flame Off stress disorder!

OK I have done the random number draw now and the main prize goes to pandanimal - you'll hear about your prize shortly.

Thank you sooo much.
