;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I absolutely love this! ;D ;D ;D
When can I have one? ;D ;D ;D
Never, ever, ever, ever! Maybe stained glass artists wonder how we can play with molten glass, but knowing that you have pretty much the exact amount of glass to do what you need, scoring it, and then placing your trust in a pair of pliers and your skill to break it off accurately.......I think I aged 10 years today! :-\ :-\ :D
It looks great, and love the story behind it :) Can't wait to see the pictures of it in situ!
It's really lovely, love the detail. Janet
Lovely, and lovely idea! :)
ooooo that looks fab !!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
awesome Sabine! ;D
Love Love Love it!!
Sabine, LOVE this! And the story of it too.
Fantastic! I can only imagine the stress of it all! ;D ;D
:-* :-* :-* :-* Thank you! Stress isn't over.........the red glass is more transparent than we thought, so now we have to wonder how we'll fix it to the wall..........eek!
just 'wow'! It's gorgeous!
It is stunning and I love the story too.
Mary
Fantastic!
Lovely stained glass and an even more lovely story.
Julia
Lovely story, I love the Art Deco period as well, and I love that spash back. Well done you.
Love it! Great story too. :)
Maybe make a 'window frame' for it to go into that is attached to the wall, slot it in and seal? Or use a silicon based clear adhesive and ensure it is sealed all around the edges?
Thank you all for your tips! We decided to use brackets which gripped the inside of the H section, recess them slightly into the plaster, and tiled over them :)

(sorry, not painted above the tile line yet, and we will get nicer cooker switches, but I wanted to share the 'in situ' photos, as promised - I'm so, so chuffed!!!!) ;D ;D ;D
LOVE IT!!!
fab!
Yay! Thats fabulous! ;D
It looks brilliant!
It's really, really lovely, Sabine - you're so clever!! :)
Thank you ;D ;D I honestly wasn't after two rounds of lovely comments (although, as the German saying goes, they 'go down as smoothly as oil' ;D ;D ;D), but! Our kitchen is nearly finished, and I am just immensely happy ;D ;D ;D
Loved it before, but even more now it's in situ, fantastic!!
It's wonderful Sabine, and I admit to being massively envious and insanely jealous, of both your kitchen and your talent ;D :-*
Lol, not sure about the talent bit, but the kitchen was made possible by Homebase's "60% off all kitchens, plus a further 20% off this week-end only" offer ;D ;D ;D
Wow wow wow that is stunning oh for to have half your talent.

Thank you :) Seriously, I had good guidance, and tried hard to come up with something that was simple, but effective. You'll notice that there are hardly any curved cuts there, which seriously made it easier, and the curve that *is* there is so gradual, it was almost straight for each triangle :)
Looks lovely - you must be thrilled with it.
Thank you - believe me, I am!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
