I'd like to finish the Glassworks France new website I've been working on for two years, successfully finish my fourth year at school, be able to go to the Flame Off and see both of my businesses grow. :)

All that as well as my family and surroundings being healthy and happy of course.

Glass wise, use presses properly I have 3 now and I'm not entirely comfortable with them. Also get something more exicting out of silvered glass now I have a BG Torch. Make more focals.

On the non glassy front though I suppose it all interlinks, get more energy from somewhere, sort our health problems, keep head above water.

:)

I always start out with the best of intentions and fall by the wayside by the end of January, but here goes!  In no particular order:

master silver glass!
Revamp my website
Sort new banners and avis for my shops and website
Book and do more fairs, mainly in the summer (booking those will be a challenge with jewellery)

and - if my public sector job ends this year .... be far more productive in my business!

Oh, and because getting a new (to me) car that isn't a 'Friday afternoon job' is challenging to me so I ignore the obvious each year - change car before it breaks down for good, on the M5, at 5pm!

Glassy resolution - work on sculptural beads - including ones with faces - bought a tut from Cynthia Tilker I can't wait to try.

Non-glassy - try to get a better work/life balance - started my current job in May and my feet haven't really touched the ground since - I enjoy what I'm doing but have got to learn to let go occassionally and just relax (fat chance!!!)

I'm very proud of myself as this closing year saw me achieve everything hobbywise that I set out to do in the year.
Being a seed beader with a small experience with wirework, I wanted to start silversmithing and ultimately to make the beautiful lampwork beads that I had seen.
Well I took silversmithing lessons from January until September (I knew that after the summer hols the small op on my toe would prevent me attending most of the term up to Christmas) and after Flame Off last April I started lampworking.
The great thing is that there is still lots to do to improve my performance on both counts, so 2012 will be Improving My Achievement Year.
I have already made forays into classes for both, so I'm really looking forward to 2012 and classes

glass resolutions, get a kiln, learn to fuse, sell more on etsy  ;D

Personal resolutions, join the gym and lose some more weight, save money, possibly take my driving test (and hopefully pass this time!) the last 2 depend on my job being made permanent though  :-\

Glassy: Make more intricate seascapes, make uniform BHBs
Metal:   Improve bead caps and coring (fast)
Outlets:  Increase galleries holding my work
Making:  Make a few more collections

Non-Glassy....ummmm get more active and lose the stone I have put on in the last few months!

Ongoing:  Continue to be happy (hopefully the terrible stuff is over)  ;D

Glassy stuff - regular time at the torch; acquire/improve sculptural beads skills; sort out my glass collection and label it all.

Other stuff - do more metal smithing projects - make more jewellery.

Oh!.......try and lose a stone ;)

Glass stuff - really get to grips with dots and stringer work. Try to take a couple of classes. Try not to sulk that I can't go to flame off as it's the same weekend as OHs birthdays.  And try not to pick up the hot end of a glass rod again.

Workwise - keep growing my business. 2012 should be a good year for us as we have a stake in a shop which is moving to bigger premises in January, so we'll have a permanent bricks and mortar showroom for lots of yarn.

Personal life - try to acquire one rather than deciding that I'll just pop back into the workshop and put in another couple of hours of yarn dyeing.

Last years  glassy was getting set up with bgirls torch so  I have that now so this years resolution is to make the most of it.
Revisit my red hot Sal dvds and follow some tutorials and work at some new  glass techniques like making cane as well as refining some that I am already not too bad at.
Use some shorts every torch session!  ::)
Have a bash with silver glass, haven't gave it much thought or use.
Come by a Bev curved cone bead roller and some mashers or large crunch press.

On the home front..
Keep plugging away at finances to get them in order, so far better than last year and everything just about manageable.
Not be stressed by other peoples needs and outside stuff (bills etc) and try to keep it together better so health doesn't suffer. Summed up with
easy does it
keep it simple
how important is it
feck em feck em all....that's if the other 3 fail!
Always bearing in mind my favourite quote and one I seem to have to go back to frequently.....  ::)
the best laid schemes o' mice an' men gang aft agley, and leave us nought but grief and pain for promised joys!!!!  ;D  ;D

I'll second that one!  ;D ;D

I'd like to experiment, play, learn and learn some more  :) If I can produce something along the way that makes someone smile, that'd be a big bonus.

Just realised I didn't post mine........well, bearing in mind that I now signed a contract saying that I'll create four Follies for Follies each year for the next three years......I hope I'll manage to do four for 2012  ;D

I think I'd just like to keep my head above water for the year. If I could keep it high enough above to be able to afford to go home for a couple of weeks that would be even better. Especially after having had to cancel being there for Christmas and New Year this time, which was sad :(

I wish everyone luck with their resolutions!

I'll second that one Mark!
Apart from not repeating a year of uninterrupted crud, my resolution is to try to keep better order of things, I have memory problems but that's no reason not to write things down!
On the glassy side, definitely have a lesson with Diana East.  If I'm going to have my first lesson, then who better to have it with?   ;D

For 2012, I'd like to achieve some work/life balance... Both to allow me to focus on improving my metal, glass, and fabric work, as well as having more time for myself and my other half... The boy has the patience of a saint, but he deserves more than driving across country to watch me mark papers! So I'm going to teach myself some time management, and how to make weekends my own... :)

I have memory problems but that's no reason not to write things down!

I have appaling short term memory after my stroke - can tell you what I did in 1975 but not what I did yesterday, so I have lists for everything (and an overworked MS Outlook) - and lists of lists in some cases. And for stuff that a list isn't enough for I have plastic wallets.  It drives husband mad, especially when I do the shopping and forget the thing he talked about but didn't put on the list, but hey, what's a shopping list for if not for adding the things we need?

I like the 'feck em al'l moto too, but I'll keep that in reserve for after these, in no particular order!....

keep some spare time for me, not beading, not DIYing, just for me for chillin and relaxing
not get stressed out by work.
set up website.
be brave and approach some more crafty places to take my beads.
sort out the house and garden into some sort of order (so I don't feel guilty when beading!).
not spend too much money.
be happy

may we all suceed in our resolutions (even if it's only some of them, Rome wasn't built in a day!)

I acheived last year's resolutions, though it was almost painful at times.

This year my glassy resolutions are to talk to everyone a bit more, on here, twitter and FB. Second glassy resolution is to play at more sculptural stuff, so instead of lentils and donuts more goddesses, faces etc. But I'll be looking for suggestions of what to try.

Personal resolution is to end the year with less potions and bottles than now. I buy a bottle of moisturiser or cleanser or something, it gets used once (if it's lucky) then sits in the cupboard for the rest of its life, generally because I'm too late trying to get out the door that it's the last thing on my mind. The 11 bottles of handcream/bubble bath/body lotion etc I got for Christmas WILL get used along with the ones left over from last year!

For me more PPP especially on the sculptural side and getting used to a big girl torch (once my oxy has been ordered.)

Non glassy get the house in order, get the allotment in order.

Across the board better time management.

good luck to you all in achieving what you want,
the boys and i are going to florida in the summer and are swimming with dolphins so i hope to bit a bit smaller so as not to frighten them in a wet suit  ;D
glassy wise, to carry on making beads that i am happy with,
get the garden straight before spring,
and give a rescue goat (if there is such a thing) or two a home,

Let me think.......

Glass wise:  get my bottom on a kiln casting/glass blowing course and to better my control of heat and glass lampworking wise.

Life wise:  improve my lung function, ie  workout and get my heart rate up every day, organise myself better, make sure I dont forget stuff  ::)

Money wise: not to spend it on silly things that I wont ever use (gah, story of my life)

Well this years resolution was going to be to save up for kiln, but my amazing family have done that for me so instead I shall go with:
