The theme of the month challenge is jointly sponsored by Tuffnels (thank you Martin!) and Frit Happens!
Each month the lucky winner, chosen by a random number selector, will receive a £20 gift voucher to spend on-line with Tuffnels. The draw will take place on at the end of the month so make sure you get your entries (beads and jewellery) in to be in with a chance to win the goodies!
So, the theme of the month for OCTOBER 2011 is OCTOBER SONG BY THE LATE, GREAT AMY WINEHOUSE! Feel free to interpret in any way you like (some bird beads would be lovely though!!!)
October Song
Today my bird flew away
Gone to find her big blue jay
Starlight before she took flight
I sung a lullaby of bird land everynight
Sung for my Ava everynight
Ava was the morning, now she's gone
She's reborn like Sarah Vaughan
In the sanctuary she has found
Birds surround her sweet sound
And Ava flies in paradise
With dread I woke in my bed
To shooting pains up in my head
Lovebird, my beautiful bird
Spoken 'til one day she couldn't be heard
She just stopped singing
Ava was the morning, now she's gone
She's reborn like Sarah Vaughan
In the sanctuary she has found
Birds surround her sweet soun
And Ava flies in paradise
Good luck and hope to see lots of entries this month!

Those birds are beautiful Ciel. I love the movement of the winged one as if its just taking flight.

I like the bird on its side. Look forward to seeing what else ends up here.

I had a go at this yesterday. I thought maybe a bit of peace.

They not very good even after I made 10 of them. Not sure what I am going to do with 10 slightly not doves of peace! They look best side on but it is very hard to get photos side on.
I also made these

Was trying for cute manga type birds. Not very like the song I'm afraid
Mwah - I love the cute manga type birds ;D
Hee, they're definitely cuties!
Aw Thanks for the likies. I will have to practise my lentils a bit more too, both the black ones have sharp bits instead of puckers.
Do we have any good tuts on using lentil presses on our site? Off to search the forum.......
Love all the entries so far , but Ciels are my favorite if I had to choose one :)
I hope I can enter this - if not will just show him - I made him in the spring the copper work came first and was going to be a web but it somehow turned into a nest and needed this little chap to live in it - he now lives in Hollywood!
